There are several types
of ads in youtube that you should know so you can choose the ads to be shown in
your videos. The different type of the ads have different income from YT. We already
know the ads in the google adsense for the website also has different types
just like responsive ads, ads link, banner ads, pop ads etc, in youtube there
are 4 types of ads.
So, what are types of the
ads in youtube? And what are the advantages?
1. Non-skippable
in-stream ads
This ads is the biggest revenue
ads. Non-skipable in-stream is the ads that is showed in the beginning, middle
or last minutes of a video. The duration of the ads is 15-20Sec, the viewer has
to watch that ads to continou the video. Sometime there is also banner 300 x 60
ads in the videos.
The ads is usually sold
base on CPM, the CPM of this ads is more expensive than other CPM Rates in
youtube. Even the CPM is more expensive but this ads is often ignored by
viewer. Activate this ads can make the number of viewer and watched minutes
decrease. If we want this ads, we have to activate it by filling the

2. TrueView in-stream
ads
This is the second
highest revenue ads. TrueView in-stream ads is the ads in the streaming of the
videos. It appears in the first, middle or last of the video in the short or
long videos duration.
The viewer has
option to watch full duration or skip it after watching for 5 second. The
advertiser will pay when the viewer watchs for minimum 30 seconds or full of the
video. There is no maximum time duration for this ads type.
Usually viewers will skip
this ads, but if the ads is interested, the viewer will watch it until finish
and the youtuber will get a good payment.
3. Overlay in-video
ads
This is the next type of
ads. This is a transparant ads that appears in the few time in your video
duration. If you click the check list in the monetize menu to let this ads,
this means youtube will automatically install this ads. The ads usually appears
in spot of second 15th and can be closed if the viewer do not want
it or it will automatically disappear when the viewer do not do anything. This
ads is paid by the number of the viewer.
4. Display ads
This is the default ads when
we activate YT monetize. This is a 300 x 250 banner ads. It appears very often in the right top display the popular or
recommended list video. This ads is the smallest revenue paid.
